Can I Wash My Car With Castile Soap

One of the ways to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle is to either purchase non-toxic cleaning and personal hygiene products or to make them yourself. We all know that non-toxic products can be more expensive so the most economical way is to make your own solutions.Dr. Bronners Castile Soap

Castile Soap by Dr. Bronner, can be used for multiple things. You can use it full strength or dilute it to make it last longer. Castile soaps are called "Magical" because it works so well for so many different things. Dr. Bronner's soaps are certified organic and use the most ecological ingredients including coconut oil, olive oil, hemp oil, jojoba oil, and depending on the scent it could contain extract from lavender, citrus, almond, peppermint and more. My favorite is Lavender, with 2 crazy boys we need all the help we can get to calm down. LOL

Because the Dr. Bronner soaps are so pure they support sustainable agriculture and do not have any synthetic chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides. Another thing I love about Dr. Bronner's Castile soaps is that they are Fair Trade. This means that the farmers producing the raw ingredients to make the products have good working conditions and paid a decent wage for their work. Not only do I feel safe using these products but I feel good that the people producing the products are fairly. It's a win, win for everyone!

Now that you have a bit of information on Dr. Bronner and the Castile Soaps I'd like to share with you 10 ways to use Castile Soap. Body Wash – Have you priced organic chemical free body washes? HOLY CRAP they are expensive. All you need is 1 cup filtered water, 1/4 cup liquid castile soap, a few drops of your favorite essential oil and 1 tsp vegetable glycerine. Mix all ingredients in a empty bottle and you will have a body wash that would be suitable for the whole family – baby too.

All Purpose Cleaner –Add 1 part castile soap to 5 parts water and a few drops of lemon essential oil into a spray bottle. This will work well on counter tops, sinks and floors

Hand Soap – I don't know about you but we are always washing our hands and go through a lot of soap. This is a easy way to refill those foaming soap dispensers. Add 1 part castile soap to 3-5 parts water and I love adding some citrus essential oil.

Cleaning Leather Upholstery – This works well on furniture or for your car. Add 2 drops of Castile soap to 1 quart warm water. Apply to the leather with a moist rag or sponge.

Mopping Floors – Add 1/4 cup Castile soap to 2 gallons of warm water then mop as usual.

Cars –My kids love to wash my car so this is perfect for them, because we all know how soapy and wet kids can get when washing a car. Add 1/4 cup of liquid Castile soap to a bucket of HOT water, fill almost to the top.

Soft Scrub Cleaner – This mixture is perfect for bathooms or when you want to really clean your kitchen sink.  Combine 1 tablespoon of liquid Castile and 1/3 cup baking soda.

Dog Shampoo – The same way you make your body wash will work for your pooch.
